A Tribute to Jurn and Chelsie
September 26, 2006Two of the nicest people I’ve met. We’re not very very close as friends although sometimes I act as if I am. Whenever we had a problem, they were always always always ready to help. I needed a lot of help to survive in this job. Both of them are really nice, but Jurn was the one I approached for help a lot.
Jurn was easily the most approachable guy in the Sydney EB2 office (apart from Mike and Arnel). Not only did he help me fix problems, he also taught me how to go about it on my own. His accommodating personality also gave us the courage to ask questions, and in turn, learn a lot more than we could have otherwise.
Chelsie knows everything about front end web stuff. She’s the guru when it comes to this. Chels has a very laid back and “real” personality that’s just amazing. I really appreciate someone who can tell it straight. Oh, she’s also as approachable and as nice as Jurn.
FYI. Both of them are married to each other. What a sweet couple!
It was really a sad moment when they left the office yesterday. I really felt a loss. I didn’t know they were leaving this soon. You know it affects you when you start thinking, “I should’ve gone out more.. should’ve spent more time..”. Knowing that they were going really made me sad. Really sad.
These two aren’t huge company personalities in EB2. They’re just programmers, lower-level like most of us. Simple as they seem the Manila office showed how great they were yesterday, as they were about to leave. Everyone stood up in a circle and said a proper goodbye. They will certainly be missed around here.
Nice guys like these always finish first in my charts.
