(wikipedia also has a similar definition)
I saw the movie Serendipity last night. It was really great. Actually, it’s very quickly climbing up the charts of my favorite movies of all time.
If you think about it using reason, it’s very hard to believe in destiny, on the universe pointing you in a direction, on stars being aligned, on having a pre-destined soulmate. It just doesn’t make logical sense.
It takes faith to believe in something like this. You need to be a jackass for this to work. Today, I decide to be one.
It doesn’t mean that I’ll be sitting around waiting for things to unfold. It means that I’ll go out and do things I normally wouldn’t do. I’ll meet people. I’ll talk to strangers. I’ll go beyond my comfort zone. I’ll do all these in an effort to find myself. I’ll dive into uncertainty and thrive in it.
I really don’t know what’s going to happen. I really don’t know if this is the right path I should be taking. I really don’t know if it will be worth it in the end. But that’s the whole point! When you start listening to the universe, you’ll hear it whispering. You’ll see signs you’ve never seen before. But first, you have to believe.
Today, I’ll leave my life in destiny’s hands.
